Ministry of human resource development wants to connect with higher education students in the social media platform. There are 900 universities and 40 thousand colleges in India and there are more than 3 crores students. Central Govt. want to connect with them.

Not only that, every teachers and professor may be going to be the social media champion or SMC for this project. Social media champions (SMC) may have some duty to manage and upload all those information from the social media accounts of students to the All India survey of higher education website.

B. Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D. students are also part of higher study.

Why the Central Govt. want to add 3 crore students on social media?

  • Through this survey, the human resource department wants to find out the data through which they can improve specifically on the skills and the potency development into the students to decrease the unemployment
  • This survey may help the govt. to use the human resources of India or it may help govt. to understand the social activity of higher study students.
  • Using the social media platform, the colleges and universities may want to share important educational notifications or important announcements.

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. are those social media platforms want to connect with higher education students.

This decision of the Ministry of human resource development is a controversial decision. Because of some people not supporting. According to them, social media is a personal social platform to connect with friends and family but this decision will harm that social impact. On the other hand, some people supporting because they want to connect for jobs and employment.
